G & G Living Centers, Inc. Receives $2,300 Grant from
VSA Arts of Dubuque
G & G Living Centers, Inc. is pleased to announce that they have been awarded a grant in the amount of $2,300.00 from VSA Arts of Dubuque. The grant money has been used to purchase art and craft supplies for the Day Habilitation and Meaningful Activities Programs at G & G Living Centers, Inc. Both programs provide activities and encourage community involvement for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Lisa Marie Bischoff, Community Relations & Development Director for G & G Living Centers, Inc. says, “VSA Arts of Dubuque has allowed individuals that receive services from G & G Living Centers, Inc. to express themselves through art. Art allows individuals to be creative, learn new skills, and share their talents with others.” As VSA Arts says, “With art, there is no disability, only ability.&
VSA Arts of Dubuque was founded in 1977 by Jacqueline Merritt and is dedicated with building a society in which people with disabilities can learn through, participate in, and enjoy the arts. VSA Arts of Dubuque annually hosts 100 Men Who Cook, an event that invites men from the community to partner with local restaurants and businesses to share their favorite dishes with the community. G & G Living Centers, Inc. Receives Grant from Dubuque Racing Association
G & G Living Centers, Inc. is the recipient of an $8,000.00 grant from the Dubuque Racing Association (DRA). Funds from the grant will be used to purchase items for a sensory integration area and additional activities for individuals with autism. As the demand for providers that provide services for individuals with autism continues to increase G & G Living Centers, Inc. is committed to filling this need. With the assistance of the Dubuque Racing Association G & G Living Centers, Inc. was able to purchase items for our sensory integration area and additional activities for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
G & G Living Centers, Inc. Receives Alpine Communications Grant
G & G Living Centers, Inc. has received a grant fromAlpine Communications in the amount of $1,000.00. The grant was used to purchase Boardmaker Software, Visual Training Systems, and timers for individuals with autism and mental retardation.

G & G Living Centers, Inc. has received a grant fromUpper Mississippi Gaming Corporation (UMGC) in the amount of $2,530.85. The grant was used to purchase Pre-Vocational Kits & Activities which will assist with teaching our individuals work skills necessary for community employment.
