G & G Living Centers, Inc. was
founded in 1992 by a group of community leaders
from Guttenberg and Garnavillo, for the purpose
of bringing back to northeast Iowa the developmentally
disabled children of families in the area. Previously,
these children were placed in distant facilities
due to lack of available services in Clayton County. Our
mission has since expanded to include support services
to the special needs populations of nineteen Iowa
counties.
Our first Intermediate Care
Facility for Mental Retardation (ICF/MR) home opened its doors on June 1, 1994.
Today, G & G Living Center, Inc. owns and operates six ICF/MR homes in
the communities of Guttenberg and Garnavillo. G & G Living Centers, Inc.
expanded its services in 1996 to include Home and Community Based Services
(HCBS) with locations in Guttenberg, Garnavillo, and Edgewood. Our Activity
Centers and Garments & Goods stores in Guttenberg and Edgewood provide
meaningful activity and employment training opportunities for all individuals
based on their personal strengths and goals.
G & G
Living Centers, Inc. is accredited by The Council
on Quality and Leadership (CQL). Accreditation is
